13/06/2017 - CoE Coral Reefs Annual Symposium
I spent this week back in my old stomping ground Canberra for the Annual Centre of Excellence for Coral Reef Studies Symposium at the Shine Dome. This is a great venue to talk about all the research on coral reefs that is conducted by Centre Staff and Students. I gave a talk highlighting the importance of phylogenetics in understanding the evolution of coral reef biodiversity. The event also included a public forum to discuss the future of coral reefs, which was MC'd by Dr Karl. Great science and engagement with the public!

29/05/2017 - Seminars in New Zealand
This week I am down in New Zealand visiting the University of Auckland and the
Massey University Albany Campus to give some departmental seminars on my recent biogeographic work published in Biological Reviews. Also, have some time to see the beautiful Both Island, including the Tiri Tiri Watangi Island, the Waitomo glow worm caves, and the thermal pools and geysers at Rotorua!
